The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized an awareness seminar entitled (The Scourge of Drugs and the Role of Youth in Confronting It) in cooperation with the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division in Diwaniyah affiliated to the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine in the central hall of the college. Sheikh Ali Al-Jasmi and Major Hassan Mahmoud Shaker lectured and Mr. Sajjad Al-Awadi moderated the seminar. The seminar aimed to address the phenomenon of the spread of drugs and identify the most important causes of the phenomenon of the spread of drug use, in addition to the importance of the role of youth in treating drugs. The seminar targeted the youth category as they are the most vulnerable to this danger. It also showed the harms of drugs and the extent of their danger to humans and what are the negative effects resulting from them and the importance of awareness and continuous education by the family and governmental and civil institutions to limit the spread of the phenomenon of drugs prevalent among young people. It also included several axes that included addressing the legal and religious aspects of those who use drugs and defining drugs and their effects on society and types of drugs and how the family recognizes the addict and the damages he is exposed to in terms of the nervous and psychological system and its effect on society and taking caution and staying away from them<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
