Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Archaeology, Professor Dr. Rajwan Faisal Al-Mayali, the Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Archaeology held an awareness seminar entitled “A Day of Hope for Suicide Prevention: An Examination of the Causes and Strategies for Suicide Prevention.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Karrar Dhiab Abdul.<\/p>\n

The seminar aimed to present a set of integrated preventative strategies to reduce this phenomenon by promoting the concepts of psychological and social support within the university environment and empowering students to acquire skills for dealing with psychological crises. She also emphasized the importance of seeking help from mental health professionals and counselors, as well as the role of friends and family in providing necessary support.<\/p>\n

The seminar presented a scientific and analytical overview of the most prominent reasons that might lead some individuals to consider suicide. It pointed to a range of complex psychological factors, primarily depression and anxiety, in addition to the impact of emotional and social traumas such as bullying and social isolation. She also addressed surrounding environmental factors, such as academic pressures and academic failure, in addition to the impact of family problems on individuals’ mental health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
