Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division at the College of Education, Al-Qadisiyah University, held an awareness seminar entitled “Ways to Eliminate Negative Phenomena Affecting Women.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Fatima Saeed Hamza.<\/p>\n
The seminar aimed to highlight the most prominent negative phenomena facing women in society, particularly in educational and social environments, and to enhance community awareness of women’s rights and ways to protect them from all forms of violence and discrimination. It also aimed to clarify the role of educational and media institutions in spreading a culture of respect and equality. Among the most important recommendations was that awareness and education constitute the cornerstone for reducing negative phenomena affecting women, and that it is necessary to activate the educational and media role in spreading awareness of women’s rights and duties. The seminar also emphasized the importance of enacting and implementing laws that guarantee women’s protection, promote social justice, and strengthen a culture of mutual respect and community partnership.
