Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Al-Janabi, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Professor Dr. Ali Kadhim Al-Madani, the Arabic Language Department at the College of Education, Al-Qadisiyah University, held a scientific seminar entitled:<\/p>\n
(Arabic in the Field of Science). The department hosted the renowned scholar, academic, and critic, Professor Dr. Saeed Adnan Al-Mahna, and the seminar was moderated by Professor Dr. Rahman Gharkan. This seminar was one of the activities organized by the department to celebrate the anniversary of the Arabic language. The symposium, held in the Al-Farahidi Hall of the Arabic Language Department, was attended by the Dean of the College, the Head of the Department, and a select group of professors, students, and researchers. It included a historical presentation on the origins of the Arabic language and the development of its styles, its relationship to the pure sciences, and a review of the language used by scholars of classical Arabic literature and their skillful application of its linguistic and stylistic techniques in their literary, critical, and scientific works. The symposium also focused on scholars of the pure sciences and their adept use of linguistic and stylistic approaches in their scientific writings and translations. Furthermore, it highlighted the necessity of proficiency in Arabic for those working in translation and the pure sciences, as it is a prerequisite for learning and mastering other languages. Finally, the symposium emphasized the importance of revising Arabic language curricula in colleges and departments that do not specialize in the subject.<\/p>\n
