The Psychological and Educational Guidance and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency, and the Directorate of Information Technology in Diwaniyah, held an awareness seminar on cyber extortion. The seminar was presented by Captain Muhammad Khader Abdul Hamza Al-Jubouri, Mr. Ali Muhammad Jamil Kasad Al-Badiri, and Mr. Ali Kadhim Abdul Ali Al-Qaraawi, and was moderated by Professor Dr. Laith Jabbar Naama. Key recommendations included avoiding sharing photos and sensitive information online, enabling two-factor authentication to protect against hacking, using strong and complex passwords and changing them regularly, not opening links or downloading files without first scanning them through trusted websites such as VirusTotal, using antivirus software such as Kaspersky, regularly reviewing and updating accounts, and reviewing the devices used to log in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
