Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Dirgham Majeed Al-Fatlawi, the Center for Guidance and Psychological and Social Services, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Nursing, held a scientific course entitled “The Phenomenon of Drug Abuse and its Negative Effects on Youth.” The course was presented by Assistant Lecturers Rasel Jayez Shnein, Nawar Mohammed Jawad, and others. The course aimed to raise cultural awareness among young people about the dangers of drug use and its health, psychological, and social effects, while also introducing methods of prevention and treatment, and strengthening cooperation between families, universities, and relevant institutions to combat this scourge.<\/p>\n
