The Psychological and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in cooperation with the Guidance and Psychological and Social Services Center, held an educational seminar to raise awareness about the dangers and types of narcotics and to explain the Narcotics Law No. (50) of 2017. The seminar was presented by Major Hassan Mahmoud Shaker Sharmahi from the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Diwaniyah and Dr. Muhammad Hatem Abdul Zahra.<\/p>\n

The seminar addressed several topics, including the dangers of this scourge to the individual and society and the necessity of concerted efforts to reduce its spread. A detailed explanation was also given of the role of the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs in combating this scourge, reviewing official statistics related to seizures and prevalence rates.
