The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yassiri, received a delegation from the Department of Archaeology at Durham University to discuss avenues for joint cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the College of Archaeology, Professor Dr. Rajwan Faisal Al-Mayali, and Professor Dr. Jaafar Al-Jawdhari.<\/p>\n

The Durham University delegation consisted of Dr. Christine Huber and Dr. William Dedman. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance scientific and research collaboration between the two universities.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Al-Qadisiyah University signed a memorandum of understanding for joint scientific cooperation with Durham University, in collaboration with the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage.<\/p>\n

The memorandum included training students in the latest archaeological survey and excavation techniques, conducting joint research, and providing research fellowships.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It was also agreed that students from the College of Archaeology at Al-Qadisiyah University and staff members of the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage would receive one week of laboratory training followed by three weeks of fieldwork.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
