{"id":24385,"date":"2025-11-02T08:02:33","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T05:02:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sust.qu.edu.iq\/?p=24385"},"modified":"2025-11-02T08:02:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T05:02:33","slug":"the-college-of-pharmacy-at-al-qadisiyah-university-organizes-a-scientific-seminar-on-the-phenomenon-of-drug-abuse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sust.qu.edu.iq\/?p=24385&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"The College of Pharmacy at Al-Qadisiyah University Organizes a Scientific Seminar on the Phenomenon of Drug Abuse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidy, the College of Pharmacy organized a scientific seminar entitled &#8220;The Phenomenon of Drug Abuse: A Reading of the Legal, Psychological, and Social Aspects.&#8221; The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ali Faiz Jasab and Assistant Lecturer Ru&#8217;a Karim Najm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The seminar addressed the legal, psychological, and social dimensions of drug abuse and emphasized the importance of concerted efforts between families, educational institutions, and security forces to curb the spread of this dangerous phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Key recommendations included raising community awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, supporting treatment and psychological rehabilitation programs for drug users, and enforcing deterrent laws against drug dealers and traffickers.
