The Department of Science and Technology Parks, under the University Presidency, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, held a development course entitled:<\/p>\n
(Debate Practice Between Our University Colleges).<\/p>\n

The course targeted a select group of university students and aimed to introduce participants to the method of university debates, which represent organized intellectual competitions aimed at honing students’ skills in critical thinking, public speaking, and persuasion on various issues. Debates also provide a platform for developing students’ cultural, scientific, and social skills, enhancing their ability to build constructive dialogues and arrive at creative solutions to problems.<\/p>\n
Debates involve presenting logical arguments, gathering evidence, and defending positions within a specific timeframe and with specific rules. They include:<\/p>\n
-Skill Development: Enhancing critical thinking, rhetoric, quick wit, and persuasion skills.<\/p>\n
-Promoting Constructive Dialogue: Providing a platform for constructive dialogue and the exchange of opinions in a civilized manner.<\/p>\n
-Enhancing Knowledge: Encouraging students to read and research various scientific, cultural, and social topics.<\/p>\n
