Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and in the presence of the Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Al-Fatlawi, the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at Al-Qadisiyah University, held a dialogue seminar entitled “National Security Strategy – Reality and Challenges.”<\/p>\n

The seminar included several topics. The first topic was presented by Lieutenant General Dr. Ali Handoul Madhkhour (Formulating a National Security Strategy). The second topic was presented by Professor Dr. Nizam Jabbar Talib, Dean of the College of Law (The Rule of Law and Legal Security: A Complementary Relationship to Ensure National Security). The third topic was presented by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mashhadani, University of Iraq (Strategic and Economic Challenges). The fourth topic was presented by Professor Dr. Musa Khalaf Awad, Director of the Continuing Education Center (Geoeconomic Challenges in Iraq). The fifth topic was presented by Dr. Hafez Ibrahim Malik, Iraqi National Security Service (Maintaining Strategic Security). The sixth topic was presented by Dr. Adnan Awda Al-Taie, University of Muthanna (Water Security Challenges in Iraq). The seventh topic was presented by Dr. Razzaq Dhiab Al-Nashi, Head of the Department of Economics at the College of Business and Economics, discussed the impact of technical unemployment on strategic security challenges. The eighth theme was presented by Dr. Alaa Taima Abdul, College of Computer Science and Information Technology, who discussed cybersecurity strategy. The ninth theme was presented by Dr. Manaf Marza Nema, College of Business and Economics, who discussed the role of macroeconomic policies in enhancing national economic security.<\/p>\n

The symposium aimed to shed light on the national security system as an entity that seeks to manage the state’s supreme national interests, protect its entity from internal and external challenges and changes, and secure its vital interests to achieve its strategic goals and regional and international relations, enhancing security, stability, and sovereignty. The symposium also addressed the national security strategy as the basic national document for strengthening and activating the national interest management system and preparing the appropriate requirements to achieve its strategic goals and regional and international relations. This strategy aims to ensure effective and sustainable national security for the state by adopting a comprehensive and multidimensional strategy that takes into account internal and external challenges and threats, enhances the state’s ability to protect its national interests, and strengthens its position at the regional and international levels.
