Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Rahi Kalf Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized a workshop entitled “Negative Phenomena Faced by Women: Violence, Electronic Blackmail, and Drug Abuse.” Presented by M.M. The workshop addressed the various forms of violence against women and their psychological and social effects. It also addressed electronic blackmail, its causes, risks, and prevention methods. Drug abuse among women, its psychological and social causes, and its health effects.<\/p>\n
The workshop concluded that violence against women remains widespread and profoundly impacts their mental health and societal role. Electronic blackmail poses an increasing threat due to a lack of digital awareness and victims’ fear of reporting it.
