Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidi, the College of Pharmacy held a training course entitled “Phytotherapy and Extraction Techniques Using the Soxhlet Extractor in Developing Herbal Medicines.” The course was presented by Asst. Murtadha Saleh Hussein.<\/p>\n
The course addressed the importance of medicinal plants in the therapeutic field, highlighting the role of modern extraction techniques, particularly the Soxhlet extractor, in obtaining active compounds from plants.<\/p>\n
The mechanism of the device and the steps for its use were explained, with reference to its applications in the herbal pharmaceutical industry.
