Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Al-Fatlawi, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hamza Al-Hashemi, and the esteemed members of the University Council, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Nabil Omran Al-Khalidi, the College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Sama Innovation Foundation for Sustainable Development, held its first annual festival entitled (Sustainable Development and Green Education) in the Hall of the Martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the college. The festival began with the opening of the Sustainable Development Goals Monument, followed by the opening of the agricultural greenhouse. After that, a photo exhibition representing the Sustainable Development Goals was inaugurated. The festival activities began with a verse from the Holy Quran recited by Dr. Ahmed Yahya, followed by the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by the national anthem. After that, the Dean of the College of Arts delivered a speech, and a documentary film on sustainable development in the College of Arts was shown. Professor Dr. Mai Jalil Abdul gave a detailed explanation of the Sustainable Development Goals that have been achieved in the College of Arts according to SDG standards and indicators were implemented through various activities organized by the Deanship of the College of Arts.
