Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Mahdi Kalf Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, the Veterinary Microbiology Department at the college held a training course on how to isolate and diagnose anaerobic bacteria. The course was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Janan Nazim Sadiq, Assistant Professor Azhar Abdul-Sada Ne’ma, and Assistant Professor Kholoud Hamdan Fahd. The training course aimed to highlight how to isolate and diagnose anaerobic bacteria and the reasons for performing this type of isolation. The course also included introducing attendees to anaerobic culture methods, how to collect samples, and how to interpret the results. The course recommended taking a sample from the infected site in a way that ensures it is protected from exposure to oxygen and placing it as quickly as possible in a medium prepared for bacterial growth (cultivation).
