Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the college held a scientific workshop on the dangers of drugs and their negative impact on society. Assistant Professor Dr. Zeina Hadi Abbas presented the workshop. The workshop addressed the definition of drugs and their types in general, the causes of drug abuse, in addition to the physical, psychological and social harms, and the role of educational institutions in providing psychological counseling, awareness campaigns and educational curricula. The workshop also recommended the importance of the family’s role in monitoring children, building trust and positive dialogue within the home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
