Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hayawi Wiwa Attia Al-Jawdari, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the College of Agriculture held a scientific course entitled “Chemistry of the Future with an Environmental Flavor (Green Chemistry)” presented by Asst. Duaa Jalil Abdul-Sada and Asst. Hussam Majeed Kazim. The course aimed to introduce the concept of green chemistry and how to benefit from it, as well as to invent new chemical materials that benefit the environment and act as alternatives to other chemicals whose production has negative environmental consequences. The most important conclusions include enhancing the sustainability of production processes and using innovation in green and sustainable chemistry to improve resource efficiency, prevent pollution, and reduce waste in industrial processes. The most important recommendations include raising awareness in society about the importance of green chemistry and its benefits in preserving the environment and public health, and incorporating it into curricula.
