Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University, the Department of Internal and Preventive Medicine at the college held a seminar on vitamin E and selenium deficiency in sheep. The seminar was presented by Asst. M. Salah Mahdi Karim<\/p>\n
The seminar aimed to identify the latest clinical signs of vitamin E and selenium nutritional deficiencies in adult sheep and young lambs. It also aimed to identify the clinical signs associated with the disease, how to diagnose the disease clinically and clinically, and methods for treating and preventing the disease, given its economic losses to livestock in Iraq.<\/p>\n
The seminar recommended administering adequate amounts of vitamin E and selenium to mother sheep during pregnancy to prevent severe deficiencies in new births. It also recommended developing random screening tests to assess the levels of minerals and vitamins, especially in older sheep, to prevent deficiencies, infertility, and weak and emaciated births, which, in turn, lead to immune deficiency and persistent infections. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
