Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Rahi Kalf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Jabbar Al-Fatlawi, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, under the University Presidency, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held a five-day educational course entitled (Drugs and Their Harm to Society). The course was presented by:

\n– Asst. Rafaad Ali Hussein
\n– Eng. Bio-Technologist Zainab Ali Jihad
\nThe course addressed several topics, including the Iraqi legislator’s position on drugs, the impact of drugs on youth, the role of educational and pedagogical institutions in highlighting the dangers of drug abuse, activating the role of the family in reducing drug abuse, and the social, economic, and security impacts of drugs. The course also highlighted the role of the Iraqi legislator in guiding public and private state institutions in combating the scourge of drugs. The focus was on the legal provisions contained in the current Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law No. (50) of 2017.
\nIt also highlighted the skills that every member of society, especially the head of the household, should possess in dealing with drug and psychotropic substance users and how to rescue them from this bitter reality. It also highlighted the impact of drugs on the loss of human sanity and contributed to combating this deadly phenomenon, which targets the country’s most important resource, by raising community awareness and alerting its members to the dangers posed by the spread of this phenomenon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
