Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazim Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific course on the Gram stain method for bacteria. Presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Mishal Salem, Ms. Marwa Salman Kazim Al-Jubouri, Ms. Laith Hussein Hadi, and Ms. Intizar Naeem Dakhel.
\nThe course aimed to introduce and teach students how to take oral swabs and diagnose bacteria using Gram stain. Gram stain is typically used to determine whether a person has a bacterial infection. If the answer is yes, the test will indicate whether the person has a Gram-positive or Gram-negative infection. Fungal infections can also be diagnosed using Gram stain, making it a versatile tool in microbiology.
\nThe course recommended the importance of counting the Gram stain as one of the most important types of stains used in hospitals to identify the type of bacteria.
