The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences held a scientific workshop titled “Combating Terrorism and Intellectual Extremism in Society,” presented by Assistant Professor Haidar Hamza Saleh.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to clarify how university students can combat terrorism and confront intellectual extremism by familiarizing themselves with Security Council Resolution 1824\/2005, which prohibits incitement to commit acts of terrorism. It also emphasized the importance of individual behavior, moderate dialogue, avoiding the generation of hatred, understanding the Security Council’s regulations and systems for combating terrorism, as well as addressing any extremist thoughts within society, reporting them to the relevant authorities, and educating and researching all topics raised on social media, linking them to practical scientific realities rather than relying on speculation.<\/p>\n
