Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Sulaiman Ali Obeid Al-Hamzawi, the Psychological and Social Guidance Unit at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Holy Hussaini Shrine, organized a scientific symposium on (religious and ideological extremism), presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Taha Al-Khikani.<\/p>\n
The symposium aimed to raise awareness about the concept of extremism and to illustrate its causes, components, and manifestations. It included several topics, such as defining the concept of religious and ideological extremism, outlining the factors contributing to its spread, and the family\u2019s role in confronting extremism.<\/p>\n
The main recommendations emphasized that education, cultural awareness, coexistence, and achieving peace and tolerance are essential tools in combating extremist ideologies. Confronting extremist thought is a fundamental human right, as every person deserves to live in a secure environment and a healthy climate that promotes peace.
