The workshop deals with the concept of the crime of electronic blackmail and explains the extent of its danger to the individual and how to confront it, as the crime of blackmail is a form of modern electronic crimes due to technological developments and means the process of threatening and intimidating the victim by publishing photos or film materials or leaking confidential information about the victim in exchange for paying sums of money or exploiting the victim to carry out illegal acts and for the benefit of the blackmailers such as disclosing confidential information about the employer or other illegal acts.
