The Legal Clinic Unit at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyyah University, in collaboration with the Diwaniyah Police Command, Criminal and Movements Directorate, Criminal Evidence Investigation Department, held a scientific symposium on the crime scene entitled (The Importance of Criminal Evidence and Criminal Indicators in Criminal Investigation at the Crime Scene).<\/p>\n

The symposium featured presentations by the Director of Criminal and Movements, Colonel Aqeel Awda, and Colonel Engineer Majid Shaheed Muhammad from the Criminal Evidence Department. Attendees included the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nizam Jabar Talib, the Dean’s assistants, heads of scientific departments, the Director of the Criminal Evidence Investigation Department, Colonel Basim Al-Hajami, a selection of officers from the Diwaniyah Police Command, as well as faculty members and students of the college. The symposium included a series of questions that were addressed by the speakers.<\/p>\n

The symposium aimed to highlight criminal indicators and evidence and their role at the crime scene, focusing on material evidence as the vessel that encompasses these indicators and evidence.<\/p>\n

The symposium concluded with the important and vital role of the Criminal Evidence Investigation Department and its outstanding efforts in preserving the crime scene and providing crucial information to investigative authorities to complete their work in identifying perpetrators.<\/p>\n

The symposium recommended the necessity of spreading the culture of the crime scene among all specialists and those working in the field of investigation, including law students, as well as presenting the technical and scientific problems faced by the Criminal Evidence Investigation Department to graduate students for them to adopt as research topics in order to find solutions that keep pace with research and scientific development in the outside world. It also emphasized the need to establish joint workshops between the College of Law and the Diwaniyah Police Command to blend practical and applied aspects.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
