The Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University, held a cultural morning entitled (Domestic Violence: Its Causes, Solutions, and Prevention), in which M.M. Israa Riyadh Al-Ghara and M.D. Kholoud Abbas Hussein lectured. The morning aimed to introduce domestic violence and its forms (physical, psychological, verbal, economic), and shed light on its psychological and social causes and negative effects on individuals and society, especially women and children. The morning also stressed the importance of establishing shelters, awareness campaigns, and activating the role of schools and the media in rejecting violence.
