The Department of Private Law at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University held a scientific workshop entitled (The Idea of Sustainability in Building Institutional Credit) lectured by Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Habib. The workshop aimed to shed light on the relationship between legal sustainability and institutional credit in general. The lecture’s vocabulary included defining the legal concepts for each of the mentioned terms and providing practical applications and experimental examples of its topic, as well as reviewing the reality of legal education in academic institutions and its compatibility with sustainability standards and its ability to enhance institutional credit. The workshop concluded that the level of confidence in the national market and its institutional credit is directly affected by the level of sustainability of legislation, its efficiency and its ability to maintain a significant level of effectiveness for an indefinite period of time. The workshop recommended the necessity of reviewing the Iraqi legislative system and developing the legal education curriculum in various academic institutions in a way that helps enhance knowledge of the functions of legislation and its effects on the interests of present and future generations according to the idea of legislative sustainability.
