An educational seminar at the College of Pharmacy at Al-Qadisiyah University on violence, its dangers, and ways to confront it in Iraq

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized an educational seminar entitled (Violence, its dangers and ways to confront it in Iraq) in Al-Biruni Hall, in which both Assistant Professor Dr. Awlia Jabbar Sahib Al-Hilali and Assistant Professor Nour Abdul-Khader Salal presented. The seminar aimed to shed light on violence by explaining the concept of violence and its types, especially violence against Iraqi women, such as domestic, school and societal violence, on the one hand, and showed the dangers resulting from violence in general and violence directed against women in its various forms. The seminar also addressed ways to limit or reduce violence against women in Iraq. In conclusion, it was recommended to continue and intensify efforts to confront violence against women in Iraq, and the necessity of conducting continuous educational campaigns, seminars and workshops in this regard.
