Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Legal Division and the Public Health Branch, held a dialogue seminar entitled (The Iraqi State Employees’ Discipline Law and the Rights of Working Women with a Focus on the Issue of Equality and Participation in Decision-Making) presented by Ms. Israa Abdul Hassan Aliwi and Senior Legal Advisor Sabahi Jawad Adhab. The seminar was moderated by Ms. Miad Qader Mahdi. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among participants about the rights of working women under the State Employees’ Discipline Law, as well as highlighting the importance of gender equality in the work environment. It also aimed to develop participants’ understanding of how women can participate in decision-making. The seminar also included a detailed explanation of the Iraqi State Employees’ Discipline Law, as well as an analysis of the rights guaranteed by the law to working women. It also evaluated the extent to which the principle of equality is applied in government institutions. Recommendations of the seminar: Developing legislation to enhance the rights of working women, training employees on the principles of equality and non-discrimination, and encouraging women to participate effectively in public life and providing a safe and supportive work environment for women.
