On the sidelines of the Ninth International Scientific Conference of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra, the first meeting of the Committee of Deans of Veterinary Medicine Colleges in Iraq was held for the academic year 2024-2025. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University. The meeting included discussing developments in accepting first-stage students in colleges of veterinary medicine. A study was discussed on the reality of the labor market for graduates of colleges of veterinary medicine. The meeting also included the creation of a number of master’s and doctoral studies in colleges, as well as the mechanism and requirements for the success of the Bologna track, which is being applied for the first time in colleges of veterinary medicine for this academic year.
