Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Bashir Shaker Al-Awadi, and the members of the College Council, our college has undertaken a distinguished initiative to prepare and install a complete solar energy system. This is part of the requirements for operating vital facilities within the college, making the classroom building environmentally friendly and reliant on clean energy. This is an important requirement for entering many international classifications. The system will be operational in the coming days, God willing.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Bashir Shaker Al-Awadi, stated that the idea behind establishing a solar energy system at the college is to provide a continuous electricity supply and prevent interruptions during official working hours, thus ensuring uninterrupted work during power outages. Solar panels have been distributed across all academic departments and classrooms. The Dean also indicated that the college is working to develop such technologies to contribute to environmental preservation by providing alternative sources of electricity, thereby contributing to its conservation. The system relies on solar energy to generate electricity. It is worth noting that this system will contribute to raising the college’s ranking in classifications that use sustainable energy as a criterion.
