The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, inaugurated the clean energy project at the College of Agriculture, Al-Qadisiyah University, as part of a series of projects undertaken by the university and its various departments.
The inauguration was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Al-Fatlawi; the Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar; the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hayawi Wiwa Al-Jawdhari; his deputies for scientific and administrative affairs; a number of faculty members and staff; and the college’s engineering team. During the inauguration, the efforts of the college’s administration in supporting and developing the infrastructure and bolstering the electrical grid with the solar panel project were praised. This project contributes to supporting energy consumption initiatives, reducing emissions, and protecting the environment, in addition to implementing the ISO energy principles aimed at utilizing natural resources and benefiting from their outputs.
The University President also toured the green spaces, participating with faculty members in the tree-planting campaign implemented by the college to maintain a green environment. This comes as part of the achievements of Al-Qadisiyah University, which seeks to provide the best in order to enhance the academic scene and the university environment.
