The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, held an awareness seminar entitled “Violence Against Women and Girls: Its Causes, Effects, and Ways to Reduce It.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Israa Riyadh Al-Gharra.
The seminar aimed to shed light on one of the most dangerous social phenomena that threatens family and societal stability, through a scientific and realistic presentation of the problem.
It also addressed the analysis of the real causes of violence, whether social, cultural, or economic, and clarified the psychological and social effects this phenomenon has on the individual and society. Practical mechanisms for reducing violence and promoting a culture of respect and tolerance were also presented. Community
