The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Qadisiyah University held a workshop on the elements of scientific research and their role in achieving the sixth standard of institutional accreditation.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, and with the follow-up of the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar Dakhel, the department, in cooperation with the College of Education, held a workshop entitled “Elements of Scientific Research and Their Role in Achieving the Sixth Standard of Institutional Accreditation.” The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar Dakhel and Professor Dr. Mai Jalil Abdul.

The workshop aimed to clarify the concept of institutional scientific research and its importance as a fundamental pillar of the sixth standard of institutional accreditation. It also aimed to introduce the basic elements of scientific research (research problem, objectives, methodology, results, scientific publication, and research ethics) and the role of each element in meeting accreditation requirements.

The workshop also highlighted the research performance indicators used in evaluating the sixth standard and encouraged a culture of rigorous scientific research and collaborative research as an effective tool for raising the academic level. And institutional support, in addition to supporting institutional accreditation pathways by improving the quality of research output and aligning it with national and international standards
