Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, conducted a field visit to monitor the progress of the large parking garage project at the College of Education and the expansion of the central street located between the College of Education and the University Presidency building.

During his tour—during the official holiday—accompanied by the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Al-Janabi, his administrative assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Moussawi, and the project’s supervisory committee (Engineer Hakim Kadhim Abis and Engineer Ismail Badiwi Dahash), the University President emphasized the need to expedite the project’s completion. He pointed out the necessity of prohibiting parking on the newly paved street until its readiness and stressed the importance of utilizing other available spaces to construct additional parking garages to accommodate the volume of vehicles, while respecting green spaces and ensuring they are not negatively impacted by adjacent projects. It is worth noting that the central garage is located opposite the university’s main building, in the area adjacent to the Departments of Life Sciences and History, within an area of 1512 square meters and with high specifications. It has a wide entrance and exit gate and can accommodate more than 150 vehicles. The street adjacent to it has been widened, which contributes to relieving the bottleneck of accumulated vehicles and random parking that causes congestion. It is also a link in the series of achievements of the urban renaissance launched by Al-Qadisiyah University to develop the university environment.
