Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Professor Dr. Mai Ali Aziz, a workshop entitled “Childhood in the Face of Violent Extremism: Al-Hol Camp as a Case Study” was held at the College of Education for Women. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Hussein Jadou’ Mazloum and Assistant Professor Dr. Sabah Hassan Badiwi. The workshop addressed the definition of violent extremism and its impact on childhood, the educational and social dimensions of extremism, and the establishment of Al-Hol Camp, including the number of children residing there and the problems they face, such as family influence and the indoctrination of extremist terrorist ideology.
