The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy / University of Al-Qadisiyah organized a workshop on (Green Education Methods and Practices) on Tuesday, 10/15/2024, in the library hall in the college at ten in the morning, in which M.M. Nourhan Intizar Kazim / Head of the Sustainable Development Unit in the college and A.M.D. Awliya Jabbar Sahib / Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the college lectured.
The workshop highlighted the concept of green education and its importance, the goals and principles of sustainable environment, green environmental and development education, as well as the latest technologies that support sustainable environment, and the universities that implemented green education.
The workshop aimed to encourage everyone, whether men or women, to adopt green education on the one hand, and to identify the most important problems that may be encountered in this regard in the future. In conclusion, it recommended the necessity of following green education methods and practices by adding it to school curricula in order to teach students how to preserve the environment, as well as adding it to university programs that teach how to follow green education practices, in addition to the necessity of identifying the most important ways to manage waste of various types in order to achieve the basic goal of green education by building a more sustainable future, and reducing the damage that may be caused to the environment.
