The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University Organizes a Specialized Course on the Operation and Maintenance of Centrifugal Pumps

The Department of Materials Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized scientific course entitled “Proper Systems for the Operation and Maintenance of Centrifugal Pumps.” The course was presented by Professor Dr. Musa Abdul Shuja. The course aimed to enhance the technical skills of participants in handling centrifugal pumps, which are considered the backbone of many industrial facilities and infrastructure projects. It also covered operating principles, an explanation of the physical principles of pump operation, and how to select the appropriate type based on the required flow and pressure. Furthermore, it addressed preventive maintenance programs and reviewed modern methods for inspecting internal components, lubricating bearings, and testing mechanical seals.
