Al-Qadisiyah University continues its efforts to implement the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model by holding the first meeting of its Central Committee.

Al-Qadisiyah University continued its serious steps towards establishing a culture of institutional excellence. The Central Committee for Implementing the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model held an expanded meeting chaired by Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department and Head of the Advisory Committee. The meeting was attended by a number of department heads from the university administration and a select group of faculty members on scholarship.

The meeting included specialized scientific lectures addressing the practical aspects of the European Foundation for Quality Management Model. These lectures were presented by Professor Dr. Sami Bashir Al-Hasnawi, Director of the Continuing Education Center, and Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Dakhel Karim from the College of Education. The lectures reviewed the mechanisms and steps for implementing institutional excellence standards according to the European model.

The discussions covered the areas of leadership and management, operations, and services, within the framework of the university’s institutional strategy aimed at enhancing the quality of academic and administrative performance and achieving sustainable excellence. The participants also emphasized the importance of optimally investing in human resources and institutional capabilities to meet academic accreditation requirements, enhance the university’s competitiveness and innovation, and secure its leading position among reputable universities at both the local and regional levels.
