Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Hayawi Wiwa Atiya Al-Jawdhari, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Agriculture held a scientific training course entitled “Planning and Strategy Development: A Vision of Means and Mechanisms.” The course was presented by Dr. Karrar Dhiab Al-Fatlawi and Dr. Muhammad Jassim Hussein.
The course aimed to highlight the increasing importance of planning and strategy development in light of changing work environments and the complex challenges facing institutions and countries. Success is no longer solely dependent on the existence of plans, but also on the ability to translate them into realistic and sustainable results. The course emphasized the concept of strategic planning from a practical perspective, focusing on the distinction between means, defined as available resources and capabilities, and mechanisms, defined as tools for activation and implementation. It also reviewed the most important strategic means and mechanisms that ensure the effectiveness of planning and achieve a balance between vision, resources, and practical implementation.
