Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Al-Fatlawi, and the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Al-Janabi, the Science and Technology Parks Department at Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Arabic Language Department at the College of Education, held a central festival to celebrate the anniversary of World Arabic Language Day under the slogan “World Arabic Language Day: Promoting Creativity and Innovation in Science and Technology Parks.”
The event was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, the Dean of the College of Education, his Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Head of the Arabic Language Department, a number of faculty members, department heads, and students in Dr. Al-Waeli Hall at the College of Education. The festival opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran and the playing of the national anthem by student Ahmed Issa Al-Hamdani. The opening address was delivered by Professor Dr. Waqas Ghalib Atshan, Director of the Science and Technology Gardens Department, and included several presentations:
– The first presentation, “A Journey into the World of Technology: Exploring Creativity in the Arabic Language,” was presented by Professor Dr. Sarhan Chafat Salman.
– The second presentation, “Writing Without Experience: The Challenge of Narrative Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” was presented by Professor Dr. Hussam Hamad Al-Ziyadi, in collaboration with Dr. Hassan Majad Abdul Karim, Dr. Maryam Abdul Karim, and Dr. Marwa Abdul Khaliq.
– The third presentation, “Virtual Video,” explored the relationship between the Arabic language, technology, computational linguistics, voice labs, and artificial intelligence.
The festival also included the distribution of informational brochures about the technology labs and their connection to the Arabic language, the reading of recommendations presented by Ms. Hala Abbas Mahdi, and the inauguration of the Electronic Voice Lab in the Arabic Language Department at the College of Education.
The festival concluded with the honoring of sponsors, participants, and lecturers through the presentation of certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
