The College of Science at Al-Qadisiyah University Organizes a Cultural Seminar on the Character of the University Student

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Salwan Ali Ubaid, and with the follow-up of the Student Activities Department at the University Presidency, the College of Science, in cooperation with the coordinators of the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate, affiliated with the Holy Abbasid Shrine, held a cultural seminar entitled “The Character of the University Student.” The seminar was presented by His Eminence Sheikh Hassan Al-Jawadi. The seminar addressed the importance of building the character of the university student on sound scientific and ethical foundations, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the authentic cultural identity emphasized by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), and stressed by the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sayyid Ali Al-Husseini Al-Sistani (may his shadow be extended), who stated: “The greatest danger threatening the future of the country is the obliteration of its cultural identity,” of which the true Islamic religion is one of the most prominent pillars. The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session with the students in attendance, followed by the distribution of a collection of religious books. The developmental and cultural publications of the Holy Abbasid Shrine were met with positive feedback from the attendees.
