A Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, Al-Qadisiyah University, entitled “The Role of Mineral and Biofertilizers in the Availability of Certain Elements and Soil Sustainability Characteristics in the Root Zone of Yellow Corn (Zea mays L.),” was discussed by researcher Rasel Mohammed, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Raed Shaalan Jarallah. The thesis aimed to study the effect of mineral and biofertilizers on nitrate, ammonium, sulfur, and potassium levels in the rhizosphere and extra-rhizosphere of yellow corn. It also investigated the effect of mineral and biofertilizers on the carbon-to-nitrogen (C/N) ratio and potassium levels in the rhizosphere and extra-rhizosphere of yellow corn. The most important recommendation was to incorporate a combination of biofertilizers and mineral fertilizers, according to fertilization recommendations for soils cultivated with crops that require high amounts of nitrogen and potassium, to meet the plant’s needs at different growth stages.
