Al-Qadisiyah University achieved a significant artistic accomplishment by winning third place among Iraqi universities at the University Theater Festival (male and female students) held in Nineveh Governorate/University of Mosul, with the participation of more than 40 public and private universities.
The participation was part of the Student Activities Department program at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held from December 7-11, 2025. It featured outstanding theatrical performances that showcased the students’ creativity and their ability to utilize art in expression and intellectual discourse.
The University of Qadisiyah delegation was headed by Dr. Zainab Nouri Dawood, a faculty member in the Student Activities Department, while Dr. Karrar Samir Al-Abdullah, a faculty member in the College of Administration and Economics, served as the general supervisor for the university team.
Our students presented a high-quality performance in the play “Loss,” which bore a clear creative imprint. The play was directed by student Sajjad Saad Subhi, assisted by student Hassan Hakim Marjoun, with music composed by student Ali Hussein Alawi. The acting was performed by students:

from the College of Fine Arts, who shone and demonstrated exceptional theatrical talent.
These outstanding efforts by the distinguished students at the University of Qadisiyah have propelled them to the forefront of artistic, athletic, and cultural activities.
