Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Salwan Ali Obaid Al-Hamzawi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Science organized an awareness festival under the slogan “A Safe Woman… A Balanced Society,” as part of the global campaign to combat violence against women.
The festival’s activities began with a speech by the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, who addressed the importance of raising awareness and reducing the phenomenon of violence and its impact on the stability of society. The Women’s Affairs Unit’s awareness website was also launched by Ms. Hala Abbas Mahdi.
Ms. Manar Al-Zubaidi presented a comprehensive lecture on digital violence against women, highlighting cyber risks, methods of blackmail, and ways to protect oneself digitally.
