The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at the College of Science, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a field visit
to the Disability and Special Needs Care Authority in Babylon Governorate, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The visit was overseen by the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Salwan Ali Obaid, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Habib Wasil Kadhim, and the Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Baligh Abdul Zahra.
The delegation, comprised of faculty members and students from the department, presented a comprehensive scientific program that included awareness lectures, demonstrations of the department’s laboratory services, and the distribution of gifts to students with special needs. This initiative is part of the College of Science’s contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being, and Goal 4, which emphasizes ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education.
