The Department of Materials Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized an advanced training course entitled “Nanomaterial Characterization and Diagnosis Techniques” in the Continuing Education Unit Hall at the college. The course was presented by Dr. Hassan Abdul-Kadhim Abbas.
The course aimed to highlight the modern methods and equipment used in determining the physical, chemical, and structural properties of nanomaterials. It also included a detailed explanation of fundamental techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for surface imaging and morphology determination, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for studying crystal structure.
