Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Ahmed Fahim Naghish, Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, the Social Research Division and the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Community Police, organized an awareness workshop on the phenomena of drugs and cyber extortion.
The workshop covered several topics, beginning with an introduction to the Community Police and its role in supporting community security, in addition to its tasks, duties, and the fundamental principles it adopts in its work.
The second topic addressed raising awareness about prevention methods and how to deal with cases of cyber extortion, as well as highlighting the dangers of drugs, which are a scourge that destroys the fabric of society and threatens its various segments. The lecturers also emphasized the importance of the role of the relevant authorities in providing support and protection, and the necessity of calling 911 to report any negative situation or suspicious activity.
