der the patronage and in the presence of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Aqeel Rahim Al-Barqawi, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine, Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Diwaniyah Health Department, held a scientific seminar entitled:
(Thyroid Disorders During Pregnancy: Diagnosis and Treatment Challenges). The seminar was presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari in the Continuing Education Hall at the Maternity and Children’s Teaching Hospital.
The seminar, which was attended by the University President, the Director General of the Diwaniyah Health Department, Dr. Muhannad Aneim Al-Mayali, the Hospital Director, Dr. Aqeel Kamel Abdul, and a number of faculty members and specialist physicians, included a detailed explanation of thyroid disorders, the most important methods of diagnosis and treatment, and an explanation of the side effects caused by incorrect treatments during pregnancy. The seminar also included important sub-discussions on the causes of the gland, modern treatments, and the possibility of benefiting from the expertise of specialist doctors and methods of early diagnosis with modern devices.
