Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Jawad Radif, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a distinctive environmental awareness activity as part of the ATHAR initiative within the college premises. The activity aimed to spread environmental awareness and promote a culture of preserving the university environment.
The activity included an awareness campaign that involved distributing informational brochures to students and faculty members, addressing the importance of tree planting, the impact of environmental pollution, and social responsibility within the university campus.
In addition, a tree-planting campaign was carried out in the college’s courtyards and gardens, where 135 trees were planted. The preparation of the soil and watering of the seedlings were also supervised to ensure their sustainability.
This initiative is part of a vision that seeks to create a clean, healthy, and sustainable university environment, with the active participation of the college’s students and staff.
