The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, discussed the Master’s thesis entitled “Development of Lightweight Green Fiber Concrete Containing Leica Using Recycled Brick Aggregate,” submitted by researcher Raghad Shaaban Ma’arez and supervised by Professor Dr. Mohammed Shamel Mohammed.

The study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of using and incorporating recycled waste ash (RBA) as a partial or complete replacement for fine aggregate (sand) in the production of lightweight self-compacting concrete (LWSCC), focusing on reducing the consumption of natural materials, conserving resources, and minimizing the environmental impact of waste.

The study also included a comprehensive process starting from mix design and testing phases in the fresh and hardened states, culminating in the analysis of the mechanical properties, concrete durability, and microstructure. she has
